Kiva Program Manager at Baltimore Corps
Kaetlyn Bernal is the Kiva Program Manager at Baltimore Corps and has been serving entrepreneurs in this role for more than two years. Baltimore Corps is a nonpro t organization that enlists talent to accelerate social innovation in Baltimore through a citywide agenda for equity and racial justice.
As the Kiva Manager, Kaetlyn supports Baltimore City businesses interested in Kiva’s microloan program, which provides interest-free capital through a crowdfunding platform of over 1.7 million lenders. For businesses looking to grow, she connects entrepreneurs to resources across the city and guides them through the application, fundraising, and repayment stages of Kiva’s loan process. Kaetlyn works closely with community partners throughout Baltimore to share the mission of Kiva and Baltimore Corps and has worked on various city-wide projects to promote equity in Baltimore’s business community.
Currently, Kaetlyn is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship at University of Baltimore. Prior to her position at Baltimore Corps, Kaetlyn worked for several Baltimore-based nonprofits including the Saint Francis Neighborhood Center, Strong City Baltimore, and the Center for Social Concern at Johns Hopkins. Kaetlyn received her bachelor’s degree in 2018 from The Johns Hopkins University in Public Health Studies and minors in Spanish and Psychology.
